Gregory Peck

It is with profound sadness that the family of Gregory William Peck announce his passing on May 5, 2022 at the age of 65 years. Greg will be lovingly remembered by his Mother, Althea Peck; Brothers, Jeffrey Peck, and Gene (Michele) Peck; Nephews Gene (April) Peck, and Brandon Peck; Niece Chelsea (Mitch) Gurevich; and Great Nephews Asher and Max Gurevich. He also will be deeply missed by his cousins Cheryl (Chris) Gamst, Kim (Les) Bishop, Karen (Steven) Amsler, Steve Garrison and all their wonderful children and extended families. He will also be missed by his many friends in Miami, Florida, Chelmsford, Massachusetts and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he touched so many with his big smile and kind heart. Greg was predeceased in life by his loving Father, Eugene R. Peck, of whom he was so proud and will be interred by his side. Greg was born on August 16, 1956 in Miami, Florida where he was active in high school sports including football, baseball, barrel racing with his horses, and waterskiing. He received is associates degree in college and learned from the ground up the HVAC mechanical trades. There was not a heating or cooling system that he could not design, install or repair. Greg started his first of several air conditioning and cooling companies, beginning with Prevent Service, which he started with his father and A1 Instant Air Conditioning with his brother Jeff and continued his trade until later in life. His affinity for working with his hands, a skill learned from his father, earned him friends quickly as he was always there to help with a construction, electrical or plumbing problem. His family and friends knew they could always count on him and he would drop whatever he may be doing to lend a hand. In Greg’s later life, he relocated to New England where he lived and worked on family construction projects and just enjoyed being with the cousins. Greg’s keenest passion was being there for his family. In a world of uncertainties, you could always count on Greg to put his family and friends needs first. A Visitation and brief Prayer Service will be held at Moster Mortuary, 334 N. Main, Rushville, Indiana 46173. Visitation will be from Noon to 1 PM, with the service starting at 1 PM with Pastor John Wall presiding. Greg’s interment will immediately follow at East Hill Cemetery, 704 E. State Road 44 Rushville, Indiana. A Celebration of Greg’s Life will be held at a later date in Miami, Florida for family friends.
