    Ronald Lee Haywood, 84, a long time Indianapolis resident passed away Friday September 11, 2020 in Indianapolis. Ron was born in Indianapolis to the late Howard and Delsie (Wray) Haywood. Ron was a 1955 graduate of Arlington High School. He received an Associates Degree in Drafting at Tech High School in Indianapolis. He married Judith Love on April 10, 1955 and she survives. Ron served in the U.S. Army reserves. He was a past member of Arlington Christian Church. Ron was the building and grounds supervisor for Indianapolis Public Schools retiring after 30 years. Ron collected model trains and model farm equipment. He enjoyed fishing and loved anything related to architecture. In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by 3 sons, Jeffrey Haywood of Austin Texas, Gregory (Reid) Haywood of Indianapolis and Curtis (Becky) Haywood of Indianapolis, 2 sisters, Anita Orme of New York, Suzette (Dr. Wayne) Beaver of Monument CO. and a granddaughter Katelyn Haywood. A private graveside service will be held at Arlington East Hill Cemetery. A tribute service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
