Forrest L. Marlatt

August 28, 1933 - September 7, 2021

Forrest L. Marlatt, 88, a life long Rush County area resident, passed away at his home in Rush County on September 7, 2021. He was born August 28, 1933 in Wayne County to Charles & Zella (Petty) Marlatt. Forrest was a 1952 Rushville High School graduate. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Forrest married Anita Carole Ruby on December 5, 1954 and she preceded him in death on April 9, 2008. Forrest farmed his entire life and loved working the land. He is survived by his daughter; Alice Kay (David) McQueen of Rushville, his sons; Clifford (Julie) Marlatt of Rushville and Paul (Amelia) Marlatt of Rushville, daughter-in-law; Mary Marlatt of Glenwood, a brother; Carl Marlatt of OH, several grandchildren & great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife,a son; Earl Marlatt, a brother and 2 sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in East Hill Cemetery, Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit the family at graveside after 1 PM the day of service. Military honors will be provided by the Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice.
