Alice K. Hedrick

September 26, 1934 - October 12, 2018

Alice K. Hedrick, 84, a life long Rushville resident, passed away October 12, 2018 in Rushville. She was born September 26, 1934 in Rushville to Lowell & Katherine (VanSickle) Waggoner. Alice was a 1952 graduate of Rushville High School. She married Gerald D. Hedrick on June 15, 1952 and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1996. Alice was a longtime member of the Main Street Christian Church. She worked many years at Ford in Connersville. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crochet, playing cards and spending time with her grandkids! Alice is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Rebecca Rae) Hedrick of Shelbyville, David Hedrick & Dan (Lisa) Hedrick all of Rushville, daughter-in-law, Katie Hedrick of Manilla, a brother, Lowell David Waggoner of Flippin, AR, sister-in-law, Sally Waggoner of PA, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter, Brooklyn Jacobs. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by a son, Jack Hedrick and a brother, Omer Samuel Waggoner. A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor John Wall presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the mortuary from 3-5 PM on Wednesday. Private burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Rushville Public Library or the Main Street Christian Church.
