Marcus Dale Gordon

Marcus Dale Gordon, 35, tragically passed away in an automobile accident on July 30, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a spirit for adventure that touched everyone who knew him. Born December 20, 1989, Marcus grew up in Rushville, Indiana, where he graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 2008. He attended Indiana State University and Ivy Tech and studied hospitality. After college, Marcus moved to Indianapolis and pursued a career in sales management. Most recently, he worked at Angi's where his natural charisma and personable nature made him a high performer and standout colleague. Throughout his professional journey, he received multiple awards for his leadership and achievements. His dedication and determination led to him holding 5 out of 6 top sales records of all time for Angi, and earning the Directorship Top Team Award seven times by producing over a million dollars as a team. Marcus was a seeker: of joy, of truth, of extraordinary experiences. He found freedom in travel, meaning in adventure, and magic in music. He enjoyed attending music festivals every summer with friends. A passionate supporter of Chelsea Football Club, he was able to attend a match in Poland this spring where he was delighted to witness them win the European Conference League. Gone too soon, Marcus' infectious spirit, engaging personality, and magnetic energy will forever be cherished. He will be dearly missed by his parents; Richard & Micki (Patterson) Gordon of Rushville, sisters; Allison (David) Blind of Portage, MI, and Susan (Dave) Bullington of Indianapolis, maternal grandfather; Dale Patterson of Rushville, niece & nephews; William, Thomas & Audrey Blind and Winston, Oliver & Miles Bullington. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Judith (Watson) Patterson and paternal grandparents; Marion Morris & Kathleen (Addison) Gordon. A Celebration of life for Marcus will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville at 11 AM. Friends are welcome to visit the family in the mortuary from 4-7PM on Tuesday evening, August 5. Pastor John Wall will preside and burial will be in the Raleigh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Rush County Community Assistance Food Pantry, Rushville Public Library, or the charity of your choice.
